Hospice of Lenawee Memorial

On July 20, 2012, Hospice of Lenawee opened our Hospice Home at 1903 Wolf Creek Highway in Adrian, Michigan. It is the first home of its kind in Lenawee County and offers 24-hour care to patients we serve near the end of life — patients for whom home care is either impossible or impractical.

It is said, "It takes hands to build a house, but only hearts can build a home." This is true, as over 3000 hearts to date have made this Hospice Home a reality. Although we surpassed our $5 million goal, our construction costs totaled at $5.8 million. We continue to receive donations towards the remaining balance, and are confident it will be reached. We are pleased to offer this opportunity to those in our community who would like to pay tribute to someone they love and continue the support of this wonderful Home. We invite you to purchase a personalized brick and remember loved ones, honor friends and/or commemorate a special occasion.

The bricks selected for the walkways will be prominent on our grounds, beginning at the circle driveway and winding through our memory gardens. They are surrounded by green grass and flowering shrubs, signifying the nature that encompasses our Hospice Home. As beautiful as the setting is, it will be the names of those we love set in stone that will truly depict the care and compassion that takes place within these walls and in homes throughout Lenawee County each and every day.

Please contact Tara Gutierrez, Director of Community Education and Development or Stephanie Seidel, Administrative Assistant at 517-263-2323 to learn more about this opportunity and obtain an order form.
