Mississippi Society for Disabilities Brick Program

The expansion of Liberty Village playground means Madison will now be a city where children of all abilities have a place to play side by side. From a unitary rubber surfacing for safety and ease of movement to a structure with ramps and independent play events that provide an exciting place to be a kid, making friends and memories. The new playground will be integrated into the existing wooden village our kids have grown up with maintaining the history of the park and breaking the ground for the future.  The vision for going beyond ADA began with a donation from Mississippi Society for Disabilities. Our plan was to add a few pieces of equipment to Liberty Village that could be used by children of any ability. Now this project has developed into new unique designs for both Liberty Village and Strawberry Patch Park that will make these parks truly inclusive, fun, and challenging! MSD’s goal is to make Madison along with surrounding areas an even more desirable place for families.
